5月28日に本郷でソーシャルイノベーションに関するシンポジウムを開催

このたび、東京大学グローバル・リーダーシップ・プログラム(GLP)より、特別シンポジウム開催のご案内をいたします。平成26年5月28日(水)に、東京・本郷の東京大学鉄門記念講堂にて、「ソーシャ ル・イノベーションによる一人ひとりを包摂する社会の創造(Social Innovation for Inclusive Society:"Beyond Capitalism")」と題しまして開催いたします。

本シンポジウムは、ポスト資本主義下で新たに誕生しつつある包摂社会の形成に不可欠なソーシャルイノベーション(社会変革)に焦点を当て、医療分野、エネルギー政策、貧困問題、企業の社会的役割、BoP(ボトムオブピラミット)市場、ソーシャル・ビジネスなどの横断的視点から、現場における共通課 題とその持続的取り組みについて世界で活躍する3人の著名人から報告を行ってもらい、ソーシャル・イノベーションを促進する上での課題提起・意識醸成を目的として開催されるもので、対象は学生・社会人および一般人です。

海外から3名の講演者の参加が予定されており、基調講演には、国連財団グローバル・コ ンパクト創設者/会長で、HSBCホールディングスやアクセンチュア、サウジアラビア王国の国営石油会社サウジアラムコにて取締役を務める、元ロイヤル・ダッ チ・シェル・グループの会長、Mark Moody-Stuart氏が「ソーシャル・イノベーションによる一人ひとりを包摂する社会の創造」と題した講演を行います。

また、同氏の講演の後は、パネルディスカッションが行われる予定で、元厚生大臣・ナイジェリア上院議員で、ボストン大学African Presidential Centerの栄誉フェローなどを務めるIyabo Obasanjo氏、2011年に「アジアのノーベル賞」とも呼ばれているラモン・マグサイサイ賞(Ramon Magsaysay Award)を受賞し、社会起業家としてインドネシアでコミュニティ小規模水力発電事業を推進しているIBEKA創設者兼取締役執行役員のTri Mumpuni氏(アショカ・フェロー)の両名が参加します。

The Global Leadership Program (GLP), The University of Tokyo, has organized a special symposium in May.

This symposium crystalizes the GLP momentum and shares our experiences and wisdom on Social Innovation celebrating the FIFTH YEAR inception of GLP. The Symposium will be held at Testmon Memorial Hall, UT on May 28, 2014. We are hoping that you will share our enthusiasm for your active participation.

In keeping with the theme of the Symposium, you will learn from the keynote speaker, Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, Chairman, UN foundation for the Global Compact, how capitalism has been under siege and created our society that is getting more divided and less inclusive. He will share his view of “Responsible Leadership” - leaders in both public and private sectors should be ethical, responsible and accountable to shareholders, stakeholders, and others as a whole.

Following his keynote speech, you will also have an opportunity to glean facts from two distinguished leaders - Dr. Iyabo Obasajo, Former Health Commissioner in Nigeria, and Tri Mumpuni, Ashoka Fellow, Founder of IBEKA in Indonesia - in terms of what kind of roles each woman plays in making their sea changes happen in ones of most challenging environments and of how to reconceive social and economic interaction–the principle of shared value –that creates social and economic values in a harmonious and sustainable way.

At the panel discussion, you will be invited to the discussion on the dynamics of the interlocked loop from beyond capitalism toward an inclusive society by appreciating societal needs and challenges.
